NEW!  NEW JERSEY STUDENT LEARNING ASSESSMENT-ADAPTIVE - The New Jersey Department of Education has updated the state assessment administered to students in grades 3 through 8. Due to new state requirements, the district has had to adjust our testing calendar. Please CLICK HERE for details regarding the new adaptive assessment and our updated testing dates.

Morning Student Arrival Procedures - At Holland Brook School, we offer multiple options for student arrival. Our AM Homework Room opens at 7:10 AM, and drop-off for this option takes place on the Board Office side of the building. Students may be dropped off there until 7:34 AM. Bus transportation also arrives at approximately 7:34 AM and releases students at that time.  Recently, we have noticed an increase in the number of students arriving late to school, as well as parents/guardians dropping students off in the bus lanes. This presents a safety concern, as buses are actively arriving and moving while students are being let out of cars in the same area.

If you are arriving after 7:34 AM, please park in a designated parking spot and walk your child into the building. This helps ensure student safety and allows our arrival procedures to run smoothly.  To help keep everyone safe, we ask that families:

  • Plan for arrival within the designated drop-off window
  • Use the Board Office side for AM Homework Room drop-off
  • Avoid using bus lanes for student drop-off at any time
  • Park and walk your child in if arriving after 7:34 AM
  • Follow all posted traffic patterns and staff directions during arrival

Our goal is to maintain a safe and efficient arrival process while continuing to support flexible options for our families. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in helping us ensure the safety of all students.  HBS thanks you for your attention to this matter and for your continued partnership.
